HSBC research analyst ranked number one in Financial Mail’s Ranking the Analysts 2012

HSBC research analyst Michele Olivier was ranked number one in the Hotels, Travel and Leisure sector in Financial Mail’s Ranking the Analysts 2012.
In the Fixed Interest Dealing category HSBC was ranked tenth out of 22 institutions.
HSBC is currently building out its equity research presence in South Africa, with five domestically based analyst hires having been completed to date.
Together with local and global analyst coverage and marketing into domestic and offshore accounts, HSBC is actively building an African equity presence.
Further equity research hires will be made during 2012/13.
