Celebrating South African National Women's Day

On Thursday, 9th August, we celebrated National Women’s Day. The day before, we decided to indulge in a lunch and pay tribute to the beautiful and powerful women from Afrika Tikkun Phutaditjaba Community Centre.
Afrika Tikkun employs their staff from the surrounding communities in which it operates, and they provide the necessary training, skills and experience.
Many ladies from the Afrika Tikkun Phutaditjaba Community Centre were present at the HSBC Women’s Day celebration. These ladies came from the various departments such as early childhood development, child and youth development, interns, cooks in the nutrition programmes, nurses, primary health care workers, as well as social and family support services.
Powerful stories where shared during lunch; and motivational speaker, Lebo from the SABC2 Muvhango Series, gave a touching speech which inspired these women to continue to excel and dedicate their time to assisting children in townships from cradle to career.
It is indisputable that women bring a unique element of success…
