FIG consists of a team of industry professionals dedicated to servicing the strategic financial and capital raising needs of our FIG clients. Our team has in-depth industry knowledge and expertise to be a trusted advisor across Sub-Saharan Africa. With strong local knowledge, industry links and a thorough understanding of sector issues and trends, we recognise the importance of long-term relationships and strive to work in collaboration with our clients to meet their business objectives by providing:

• access to the full range of HSBC products and services through their Group Relationship Manager
• tailored solutions to their strategic and financial needs through the services of product specialists within Global Banking and Global Markets
• bespoke local and cross border solutions

The HSBC Africa FIG team is responsible for managing the Group’s relationships with both bank and non–bank financial institutions (“NBFI”) across Sub-Saharan Africa. Whilst NBFI focuses exclusively on the South African market, the Bank’s team has divided the continent into three regions categorised as West Africa, East Africa and Southern Africa. Regular visits to the various markets by the Relationship Managers and the relevant product and Advisory specialists are undertaken.

The local team is also supported by an international network of FIG counterparts across the world providing a platform for our clients to conduct their business worldwide using HSBC’s global footprint.
